What makes 'Solo: A Star Wars Strory' a must watch?

Since 'Force Awakens' in 2015, Lucasflims has proven that the Star Wars Universe isn't confined to being a 'Nerd's haven' anymore. With 'Rogue One' in 2016 and 'The Last Jedi' in 2017, the 30 year old franchise has proven why its the best in the business. That alone makes 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' a must watch.

Here are additional reasons why one of the most anticipated movies of 2018 deserves your money.

Star-spangled Cast

These spin-off movies give the production house an opportunity to spread their wings and cast new and booming Actors and Actresses for their new and interesting characters. Solo is no different. It's cast includes Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Don Favreau, Paul Bettany and Woody Harrelson who have previously stepped into the shoes of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Rich Purnell in The Martian, Happy Hogan in the MCU, Vision in the MCU and Meritt McKinney in Now You See Me respectively. We can expect some fairly cool dialogues.

Next in line after The Last Jedi

It goes unsaid that Luke Skywalker's death is the most touching scene in the history of Hollywood. The Last Jedi was by far, the best Star Wars movie in the eight movies long saga. We can expect the same level of drama and emotional scenes from this movie too. Rogue One too was very emotionally equipped and I feel Solo is gonna be even better.

Position in Timeline

The events of Solo happen between Episode III- Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV- A New Hope which means it is set in the most interesting time frame in Star Wars history. It is the time when The Galactic Empire assumes power and the galaxy is in turmoil and the best time to put a character like Han Solo in a movie and give fans what they want.

Benefit of Creative Liberty

The Original Saga, though awesome, revolves around a very repetitive script - training a new Jedi prodigy (Anakin, Luke and Rey) to help put an end to an evil powerful authority (The Sith, The Galactic Empire and The First Order). But a spin-off has the liberty of being its own movie and be fresh. Rogue One did a very impressive job at doing this and the same can be expected from Solo. Of course, hints of the Jedi presence in the Galaxy wont stay out of the movie but there will be a proper balance between all aspects of  the Star Wars Universe.
